1st Annual Telling Tales Festival

The innaugural Telling Tales Festival is set to take place Sunday, September 20th at Westfield Heritage Village, in Rockton, Ontario (near Hamilton).

There’s an outstanding lineup planned, including some terrific YA authors:Book covers - Telling Tales

Kelley Armstrong, author of the Darkest Power Series (Doubleday Canada) will be reading from the third and final book, The Reckoning.

Gillian Chan (An Ocean Apart) and Barbara Haworth-Attard (A Trail of Broken Dreams), two authors from Scholastic’s Dear Canada series, will give a workshop-style presentation on the art of writing historical novels.

Sylvia McNicoll will share her latest YA novel, Last Chance for Paris (Fitzhenry & Whiteside).

Valerie Sherrard, author of  Searching for Yesterday (The Dundurn  Group), will appear on the Summer Stage.

And, prolific and award-winning author Eric Walters will talk about his popular YA historical novel, The Bully Boys (Penguin).
