What kind of book becomes a Harlequin TEEN?
If you’re as curious as I am about Harlequin’s new YA imprint, head over to YABOOKNERD to read a guest post by Natashya Wilson, senior editor, of Harlequin TEEN. It’s one of several YA blogs Wilson has been featured on lately as part of Harlequin TEEN’s blog tour.
Wilson explains the history behind the new imprint, and shares details about what to expect from Harlequin TEEN’s first year. From the sounds of it, the imprint’s publishing program will be quite diverse. Almost 20 titles are planned for 2010. They’ll launch with several romances with a paranormal or supernatural twist. In a USA Today article, Wilson is quoted as saying, “These will be titles specifically developed for readers of Twilight.” These will be followed by some fun, contemporary teen romances. They’ve even acquired the rights to publish books based on the ABC TV series Greek.
