Cybils winners announced tomorrow!
The Cybils winners are announced tomorrow! I’m really looking forwarding to finding out what titles made it to the top of each list. Props to all of the hard-working bloggers who have volunteered their time to review, discuss, and select the winning titles.
I’m playing close attention to two categories in particular: 1) MG/YA Non-fiction and 2)YA Fiction. I participated on the first-round judging panel for MG/YA Non-fiction, so naturally, I’m curious to see which of the five finalists wins. Personally, I’m rooting for Charles and Emma, but I also have a soft spot for Claudette Colvin. Both have been honoured elsewhere, so I won’t be surprised if one of them takes the prize.
The YA Fiction finalists are all amazing. Wintergirls = engrossing and intense. How to Say Goodbye in Robot = quirky and heartbreaking. Cracked Up to Be = darkly fascinating. Into the Wild Nerd Yonder = endearing and inspirational. Blue Plate Special = gripping and complex. Carter Finally Gets It = freakin’ hilarious. How will they ever choose?
